Get to Know CMP

Curious what it’s like to be part of the California Montessori Project family?
Here’s a closer look at the people, culture, and support systems that make working at CMP special.

California Montessori Project (CMP) is a public, tuition-free TK–8 charter network with over 3,000 students across Elk Grove, Sacramento, Carmichael, American River (Fair Oaks), Orangevale, and Shingle Springs.

Each campus has its own unique energy and traditions, but all share a commitment to follow California state standards in a way that encourages independence, curiosity, and a love of learning. Each campus has its own unique feel and flavor, reflecting the communities we serve.

You can look forward to mixed-age classrooms, dedicated teaching assistants in every room, and low student-to-teacher ratios, creating an environment where every student receives personalized attention and support.

Words from our staff…

"CMP cultivates a collaborative and supportive community among staff, students, and parents. The sense of community and teamwork is strong, creating a positive and nurturing work environment. My favorite thing about working with kids is the joy of witnessing their growth and development both academically and socially. My job allows me to be part of each child’s journey, celebrating their successes and guiding them through challenges, while also fostering a love of learning. "
