Our school board is dedicated to fostering an environment where every student can achieve academic excellence and personal growth in a safe and supportive setting.

As elected representatives of our community, we are committed to making informed decisions that shape the future of our schools. Our responsibilities include:

  • Policy Development: Crafting and implementing policies that promote high educational standards and equity.
  • Budget Oversight: Ensuring that financial resources are allocated efficiently and effectively to support student learning and well-being.
  • Superintendent Supervision: Collaborating with and providing oversight for the Superintendent to ensure the district's strategic goals are met.
  • Curriculum and Instruction: Evaluating and approving curricula that meet the diverse needs of our students and prepare them for future success.
  • Facilities Management: Overseeing the maintenance and improvement of school facilities to provide a safe and conducive learning environment.
  • Community Engagement: Encouraging active participation from parents, students, teachers, and community members to foster a collaborative educational community.

The California Montessori Governing Board is dedicated to nurturing a learning environment where each child can grow academically, socially, and emotionally, developing independence and a lifelong love of learning within a safe and supportive community.

  • Policy Development: Crafting and implementing policies that promote high educational standards and equity.
  • Budget Oversight: Ensuring that financial resources are allocated efficiently and effectively to support student learning and well-being.
  • Executive Director Oversight: Collaborating with and providing oversight for the Executive Director to ensure the network’s strategic goals are met.
  • Charter Approval:  All matters related to Charter approval, amendment, or revocation.
  • Community Engagement: Encouraging active participation from parents, students, teachers, and community members to foster a collaborative educational community. 

Our mission is to support each child in realizing their full potential by fostering a safe, equitable, and enriching environment rooted in Montessori principles. Meet The Board Members

The California Montessori Project (CMP) Governing Board is a diverse group of professionals with experience in various fields, including education, business, technology, facilities management, and leadership.

Board Membership

The CMP Governing Board may include:

  • Up to four Parent Representatives (one per charter)

  • One Community Representative

  • Two Business Representatives

  • One Montessori Representative

  • One Charter Representative

  • Up to four District Representatives (one per authorizing district, if appointed

All are welcome to attend school board meetings either virtually or in person.

 

In Person: Meetings are held monthly and rotate between our Central office and our six school campuses. Specific locations will always be listed in the meeting agenda.

Join Virtually: All regular board meetings are streamed online via Zoom. The link to join will be posted on this page on the Friday before each scheduled meeting.
